If you have purchased e-tickets you need to carry your electronic ticket with you as your ticket record is stored in the airline’s computer system. If you purchased a paper ticket, it will be shipped to you by Fedex.
For travel within the United States, all you need is your government-issued photo ID, although some airlines also require that you show the credit card used to purchase your ticket.
For international travel, a passport is usually required and a visa may also be required, depending on your destination.
Partially used non-refundable tickets generally have no value for future purchase or exchange once the flight dates have passed.
Airlines impose a fee to reissue non-refundable tickets. This fee varies by airline and cannot be waived. The average fee is $250. If the fare of the new itinerary is higher than the value of the original ticket, you must pay the difference and the reissue fee.
